On 14th September we've invited The Jam Mistress, Vivien Lloyd, to join us for the morning and explore the art of creating jewel-coloured jams and crystal clear fruit jellies. Featured in The Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday, BBC's The One Show and Radio 4's Food Programme among others, Vivien is a leading proponent of traditional jam making techniques that produce long lasting preserves, chutneys, jams, jellies and marmalades.
Watch Vivien demonstrate a seasonal jam and jelly, from cooking the fruit to potting the preserves. Afterwards we will serve a light lunch of two courses and you will have the chance to buy books and jams.When our Chef first tasted them his reaction was "wow, that's really good" which is why we're delighted to be able to start our first ever Grapes food event with Vivien.
