Living for 14 years in the Bordeaux region gave us some great contacts among the lesser known, small scale producers & we've certainly established some favourites.
Boutique wine maker Olivier Sulzer supplies our sister venue, Chateau Rigaud, so we do a fair amount of business with him and when we asked him for a special price to supply the Grapes, he was very kind.
With our contacts in the area & acting as the importer ourselves, we can offer you these wines, for enjoying at home, at the same price you would pay if you were to rock up at Olivier's chateau and buy from him there yourselves (plus import duty and just 39p transport cost!)

ABOUT THE WINEMAKER
We've been buying wines from Olivier for several years, which we serve at Chateau Rigaud, sister venue to The Grapes, in Bordeaux. Olivier makes wines from three of his family estates, all in and around St Emilion. He also runs a very stylish wine boutique in the village of St Pey d'Armens where he specialises in labels from small scale, independently owned producers. Olivier is passionate about rugby and living the good French lifestyle - his vegetable garden is something to behold and if he invites you for supper he loves to cook huge slabs of meat over the open fire in his kitchen. The wines we have chosen for this first "Bordeaux to BOA Pallet" are great examples of small scale Bordeaux production, representing terroir and vintage. And they're ready for drinking now!
